Speaker Adapter Bracket

IMPORTANT
Before starting, compare items on your invoice with items
received. Thoroughly check packing materials. If an item
is missing, please call Crutchfield at 1-888-955-6000.
IMPORTANT
It may be necessary to acquire screws to mount the speaker
adapter bracket.
If mounting a tweeter to the bracket, follow all steps
below. Skip ahead to step 5 if only mounting a 6-1/2" or
6-3/4" speaker.
1. Use screws to secure speaker adapter bracket to a stationary
surface that can be used as a backup for drilling.
2. Choose a hole saw to match the opening size for the tweeter to
be installed. Using the dimple in the center of the tweeter
portion of the bracket as the center for the hole, cut out opening
for the tweeter. Depending on the application, some Note:
tweeters can be surface mounted to the adapter bracket
without drilling.
3. Remove screws and remove bracket from backup surface.
4. Secure tweeter to adapter bracket using the method described
and hardware supplied with the tweeter. Additional Note:
drilling may be required.
5 Secure 6-1/2" or 6-3/4" speaker to adapter bracket.
6. Make wiring connections to vehicle.
7. Secure speaker/bracket assembly to vehicle location.
Remove tabs if
installing 6¾"
speakers.
