IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: When using this attachment, basic safety
precautions should always be followed including
thefollowing:
Read all the instructions before using theproduct.
To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is
necessary when a product is used nearchildren.
Always assume that the tool contains fasteners. Careless
handling of the nailer can result in unexpected firing of
fasteners and personalinjury.
Do not point the tool towards yourself or anyone
nearby. Unexpected triggering will discharge the fastener
causing aninjury.
Disconnect the tool from the power source when the
fastener jams in the tool. While removing a jammed fastener,
the nailer may be accidentally activated if it is pluggedin.
Keep hands and body parts away from the discharge
area of the tool. While in use NEVER grasp the tool by the
magazine or canister, a mis‑driven nail can exit the nose
causing injury.
Always wear safetyglasses.
Always wear earprotection.
Only use fasteners of the type specified in theDCN920,
DCN930 manual.
Do not disassemble or block any parts of the fastener driving
tool such as the contacttrip.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and disconnect it from power
source before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An accidental
start‑up can causeinjury.
Removing and Replacing the Magazine
(Fig. A, B, C)
WARNING: For your own safety, read the tool instruction
manual before using any accessory. Failure to heed
these warnings may result in personal injury and serious
damage to the tool and the accessory.
1. Remove battery pack
1 from tool and engage trigger safety
lock‑off

2. Using the hex wrench

provided, loosen the two hex
bolts

at the top of themagazine

and the hex bolt

on the foot of the tool.
3. Lift the magazine

away from the nailer.
4. Remove jammed/bent nail, using pliers if necessary. Clear
out any debris in the nail channel ifrequired.
5. Install the extended magazine into position under the nose of
the tool. Insert and tighten the two hex bolts

at the top of
themagazine

and the hex bolt

on the foot of the tool.
6. Reinsert batterypack.
NOTE: The tool will disable itself and not reset until the
battery pack has been removed andreinserted.
7. Reinsert nails into magazine (refer to Loading theTool
section in the DCN920, DCN930 instruction manual).

9. Disengage the trigger safety lock‑off

when ready to
continuenailing.
10. If nails become jammed in the nosepiece frequently, have
the tool serviced by an authorized D
eWALT servicecenter.
